Cracked eyes, forced smile,
it will only be this way for a while,
soon your wounds will heal up and reveal,
that which the bad thoughts can't steal,
till' then I find comfort in my passing reverie,
but why can't I make it align with my reality?
Forget it, I'm dead, I'm spending too much time inside my head,
obsessing over something that you said and now I'm starting to smell lead,
and maybe I can float with the sirens forever,
or at least until the morning comes,
and I'll try to do better,
When you talk to the walls,
do they talk back?
When you talk to the walls,
do they talk back?
Scribbling through all the questions I would ask you,
fold them in to origami swans, light them up and burn them one by one,
call you up and scolding you on the telephone,
was just me trying to make peace so you would leave my dreams alone,
forming loose ties, swimming around in a strangers eyes,
searching for the person that I had,
oh maybe I just come off too sad,
but it's not like I am miserable, I wear lobsters on my shirt,
but I miss when everything was beautiful,
and nothing hurt,
When you talk to the walls,
do they talk back?
When you talk to the walls,
do they talk back?
When you talk to the walls,
do they talk back?
When you talk to the walls,
do they talk back?
